Our New House, with pics!

Let's brighten things up a bit and look forward. Specifically to our upcoming move. We won't be going to far--about an hour and a half away--but it seems like we are moving a thousand miles. We have so many boxes stacked up here and there that sometimes I lose my kids in the all that cardboard! I am a very paranoid packer too--I know darn well that I overstuff every box with wayyy too much paper, foam, and my current favorite packing material, plastic bags.

This is where we are going:

House

house 2

Its a great, old house with lots of charm, wooden floors and a lovingly remodeled kitchen. Its absolutely perfect for us right now. Of course it lacks room for a fiber studio, but what can ya do, eh? Its certainly an upgrade from our current position, and it is only for a year.

notice the yard and lovely shade trees? We couldn't really get a good shot of the entire yard--its very long!

house 3

There is a traditional porch, a screened-in porch (which might end up being fiber storage after all, albeit an unheated one), a carport and garage, and a nice big back yard for the kiddos. The bedrooms are nice and sunny. There is also a heirloom perrenial garden that could use a horticulturalist's eye.

We are pretty excited and nervous and thrilled all at once. We are moving on the 4th of July weekend, which should be interesting to say the least. Not to mention that July 5th is the start of Tour de Fleece, which is a Spinner's challenge that coincides with Tour de France. I will post more on this later, of course!

Unfortunately we won't have internet access right when we move in, so I won't be able to post from about July 4th to the 14th, give or take a day. I hope to have one or 2 more posts until then, if only to post my Spinner's Study notes and some quickie updates.
