Yeah, thats right, I sold it!
Lucy was good to me, but she felt she had to move on. What now, you say? What on earth will Betzi Spin?
Betzi will now spin on this:

Yes that is right one and all, I will soon be the proud owner of a Schacht Matchless, the porsche of spinning wheels! I got an amazing deal from a shop owner who is no longer carrying Schacht products. I got it for a song (plus a little bit more). Its only one year old and from what I can tell in great shape. It was used only for a display, so it has been a little lonely and *needs* me!
Selling my wheel has been an idea that has been buzzing through my head the past few months. I love Lucy dearly, but I don't travel with her much anymore (and dont' plan to in the near future). I kind of wanted a heavier wheel, something a little more permanent-feeling. Then I heard Meghan from Stitch-it Podcast talk about selling her Lendrum. "Taking a chance" are the words she used. Lo and behold a few episodes later she bought a Schacht! Coincidence? No, I think you can safely label this one "influence". I would have never jumped on this had it not been for her. Thank you Meghan, you rock!
The even funnier thing is that I contacted Meghan via Ravelry to ask her about the Schacht, how she felt about selling her Lendrum, etc. I decided to take the plunge and found a buyer for her. I told Meghan that and she said that what a coincidence someone from her podcast ravelry group left a message that she got a Lendrum DT. As it turns out, it was the person who bought mine--she was a Stitch it Podcast fan too!
Now the Matchless is the wheel that I ultimately wanted when I bought the Lendrum, but it was just waaayyyy out of my price range, plus I wanted a wheel that folded. At the time it was critical that I had a good travel/compact wheel. Now it isn't so important since I pretty much leave my wheel out all the time. I like being able to just sit down here and there and spin for a few minutes if I so choose.
Ok, so I hardly ever just spin for a few minutes. Once I get started it turns into hours, but you all know how that goes...
I do have 2 books to review and I want to chat a little about Interweave Knits. Oh, and a website intro...anyway, all that is coming up, along with some pics of fiber and such. I just wanted to pop in and share my good news!

I have to admit that I'm stunned that the Lendrum is gone! Enjoy the new wheel!!
