Virtual Knit Night anyone?

Hi Everyone!

I totally miss having knit night, but I did want to invite you all to a virtual knit night! Here are the details:

Time and Date:
Saturday 8:30 Eastern time

Where:
Stickam.com

Who:
Betzi welcomes all knitters, spinners, crocheters, and crafters of any sort really! And please come and chat even if you don't have a webcam and mic--you don't need one! You can still see and hear me and everyone else who has a cam and also participate in the typed chat!

How To Participate:
Just register with stickam, do a search for betzi, and check out my profile. It is no longer necessary to friend me to join the room, but if you do you can receive announcements about upcoming sessions. As a friend you can also have quick access to the live show by clicking on the little "friends live" icon in the top bar of the Stickam homepage.

Once you enter the room, just click on one of the squares on the side and you will see yourself (if you have a webcam). Sometimes it takes a minute for the webcame window to pop up, but when it does just click “allow” and the program will automatically look for your webcam and mic. While not required, it is very helpful if you wear headphones. This reduces the echo effect dramatically.

It would aslo be really helpful if you can register and test it out before Saturday night. You can join any public room which allows video feed and see if its working. If you can't don't worry, we'll try to help you out!

The group has gotten a great response and has even appeared in This Week in Ravelry! It is a weekly group which may expand into a biweekly group, if there is demand enough.

I think this will be a lot of fun and a great way to meet and connect with people!
