Swappy Goodness!

Once fall hits I not only have the urge to cast on a hundred projects, but I also get the urge to swap. I don't know why, maybe it has something to do with some prehistoric instinct to hoard stuff for the upcoming winter. Whatever the reason, I find it very difficult to pass up swaps.

So I didn't. In fact, I'm hostessing one through our Virtual Knit and Spin in group: The Cold Weather Drink Swap. Its going to be a very easy and cheap one, and hopefully everything we will be swapping will fit in a mailing envelope (you know, the big bubble-lined ones?). Tea, coffee, hot chocolate are all fair game, depending on your swap buddy of course. And of course handmade goodies and snacks to munch. I was lucky enough to nab Closetomyheart as a swap buddy. She is a regular at the Virtual Knit and Spin in, and knits like a crazy lady (meant affectionately of course!). I'm so excited to make and send stuff to her! I don't want to blab too much, 'cuz she might just be snooping around here...

The second swap I'm in is the Amazing Lace Swap. This one is a little bigger, and as the title implies revolves around lace. The questionaire asks things about patterns you'd like to knit, fibers and yarns you love, etc. What you might expect. The nice thing is that we will probably get our packages right around Christmas--yay!

As you might have heard, this month is National Blog Posting Month, or NaBloPoMo as it is known in bloggerdom. The point is to challenge yourself to write one blog post a day for the entire month of November. I don't know if this is entirely possible for me, as I know I will be travelling for Thanksgiving, but I'm going to give it my best shot.

As you may note from the timestamp, I ade it in just under the wire tonight!

More tommorow!

  2. Betzi, I had to laugh. I, too, posted about the swap on my blog, but I didn't give any clues, thinking that Figaro might be reading. Sure enough, five minutes after I posted, she commented. LOL!

Thanks for organizing the swap and the Virtual Knit and Spin!!
